A lot of people seem to find some excuse or another to print out things. It might be for a school project, it might be for a business presentation, it might even be for a painting you are doing. This is why a lot of household have an Epson printer. But do you really want one?
The one thing that every Epson printer will need is Epson ink. You must avoid the temptation to buy cheap knockoffs, they will mess up your printer. And do not try to refill the ink cartridges as they work on a special microchip that will still register empty when it has got to empty. If you are frugal then you will not have to replace the ink cartridges too often though, so that is not too bad.
Then there is the paper that an Epson printer will use. This is inevitable. Luckily paper is not all that expensive so you will not have to break the bank to supply your printer with paper, unless your children decide that the printer is a good source of paper to draw on. Then it could get rather expensive.
Then there is the printer itself. An Epson printer is not necessarily the most cheap printer in the world. There are more expensive ones, true. But the saying that you get what you pay for is also true. You do not really want to get a cheap printer as it might break down if you so much as look at it in a way it does not like.
The choice of whether or not you get an Epson printer, or any good printer for that matter is your choice. Just be sure that you know what you are getting yourself into when you get one. You will have maintenance costs that you are going to have to keep up with as well as consumables that are going to have to be replaced from time to time.
Just be sure that getting a printer is really something you want to do before you go out and buy one for use at home.
